Ohio State University is a public research university in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1870, it is one of the largest schools in the United States and is consistently ranked among the top public universities in the country. Its business school and political science program are among the best in the nation, and its medical center is considered one of America’s best hospitals. Ohio State University offers 170 undergraduate majors and has additional campuses in the Ohio towns of Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark, and Wooster.

With 950 registered student organizations, OSU has a stellar array of campus activities and clubs. Its football team is a Division I contender, and the University offers a range of athletic programs, including swimming, fencing, soccer, and rugby. Columbus is the largest city and capital of Ohio. Students have easy access to the city’s many Broadway shows, performing arts centers, and outdoor attractions.
